10/21/2013: Hi

Hi family!

 

Sorry, I pretty much have no time this week, since figuring out classes stuff took longer than anticipated.

 

This week was good! Hayley came to stake conference this saturday night to hear her fellowshipper speak, and loved it! She told us that this week she prayed about the Book of Mormon to know if it was true, opened the book randomly, and got nothing. Then she prayed again and told Heavenly Father that she didn't want to waste her time on a book that wasn't true, so to let her know if it was true so she should know whether or not she should read it. Then she opened to 2 Nephi 33:10, which says something along the lines of "if you don't believe me, believe in Christ. Wherefore, if ye believe in Christ, ye shall believe my words, for I speak the words of Christ." COOL!! She was like "What! Too coincidental! It's gotta be real!" So she's going to continue to read. Haha. She's awesome. She told us she's seen answers to prayers in a way that puts her kind of in fear and awe of how powerful God is, so she knows she needs to do what He says, because it might not be good otherwise. We'll help her develop the love for Him part. Haha.

 

Also, I saw a protest yesterday, not sure what for. It made us late to get to where we wanted to go finding. Also, I saw an old man walking in the park yesterday who was rubbing his stomach and patting his head. It was pretty hilarious.
