Hey family!
Sorry, I forgot to tell you all that we had temple day this week,
so our P-day got changed to Thursday. Hong Kong is still on the old
temple video, as apparently the new one hasn't been translated yet. Oh
well. Still good of course!
This week's been good. I've gone on exchanges twice, including one
with my favoritest Hong Kong person ever! Yay! Her name is Sister Lee,
and she was in my last apartment. She's one of the most cheerful and
hilarious and adorable people ever. For language study we switched off
reading verses in the Book of Mormon in the other's language, and we
were reading in 2 Nephi 5, and it said a few times things about being
judged in the flesh and things like that, but with her accent it sounded
like"Christ will appear to them in the fridge." Hahaha. I love Chinese
people! And I love Sister Lee. It was fun to speak Cantonese all day
long too. My other exchange I went to Aberdeen, which is so beautiful.
While we were finding we ended up at this gorgeous beach in Deep Water
Bay, that had mountains surrounding 3 sides of the little harbor. It was
really cool. So S. Law and I have been pretty busy this week with our
sister training leader duties. We've been doing a lot of finding
lately, but I like finding, because it always makes me feel like I'm
working hard.
For anyone interested in hearing about the typhoon, it was pretty
much the same as the last one, which is to say, pretty anti-climatic. It
was pretty windy before they boosted the signal though, so we had some
fun finding wherein we tried to keep our skirts from blowing up too
much. haha.
I must say, our ward coorelator, Brother Lam, is pretty fantastic.
Coorelators really makes a difference. I really like Lam HD because he
is really personally involved in his calling, and really cares a lot
about each of our investigators. Every week he gives us really good
Spirit-led guidance that really has helped us know how to help our
investigators. He helped us fellowship one of our investigators the
other day as well, and I think what he told our investigator was exactly
what they needed to hear. Good people, him!
I hope everyone's doing great!
Love you!
Sister Heaton
