Sorry about the late emails! We got our P-day changed last minute so we could go to the temple today! It was great!
These
last couple of weeks have been good! We've been doing a lot of
less-active finding lately, and we've been able to get in a few doors
and even meet a whole extended family of a less active! And they were
all really nice! We're excited to visit them again.
Speaking of extended families, we also got invited
by one of our ward members' non-member Mom to come over for their big
full- family dinner, so we got to meet a ton of that member's relatives.
It was good stuff! Also, tell the extended Heaton family that Sister
Heaton (the Elder [and not in the boy missionary sense]) says hi and
that I love them! And that they should play some good anti-i-over (or
however you spell that).
Our investigator On Ching's been making some awesome
progress lately! She's now been to church 3 weeks in a row for all 3
hours, which she hasn't done in quite a few months, and the time before
last we saw her she said she hadn't been praying much or reading the
Book of Mormon much, but last time we saw her, she had read 8 or so
chapters, and had got an answer that the Book of Mormon is true! Yeah!
We're expecting her baptism on the 21st! Yay!
I also did an exchange in Kwun Tong the other day
(this will be of interest mostly for mom), and we found 2 of her
converts were still on the ward list, so we tried visiting them, but
they no longer live at those addresses, and the guards at their
buildings said they had no information about where they had moved to. It
was sad. :( I kind of felt like a private detective though as I was
asking them if there was a realty company or something we could call to
see if we could get information on previous tenants.
I'm excited because tonight we're going to watch
that worldwide broadcast. I hear it's a lot about member missionary
work, which is awesome, because it really is the best way to go. The
best investigators and converts are those found by and through members
because they already have that support system. And they stay active. So
help those missionaries find people to teach!
Love you all! I'm grateful to be from a country that
values freedom, which made possible the restoration of the gospel of
Jesus Christ possible!
Sister Heaton
